We will provide all required documentation for driving in Antigua. The cost is US$20 (US$22 when paid by credit card).

Limited Enhanced Protection (L.E.P.)

Limited Enhanced Protection (L.E.P.) is an optional coverage that is strongly recommended. When accepted, the renter’s liability for vehicle damage is limited to USD $2,000 per occurrence. If L.E.P. is declined, the renter is fully responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of the vehicle resulting from accidents, fire, or theft, unless the renter is officially deemed not at fault. A credit card pre-authorization is required at the start of the rental. This is a temporary hold and not a charge, amounting to USD $250 when L.E.P. is accepted, or USD $500 if L.E.P. is declined. The time required for the hold to be released depends on the card issuer. Please be advised that L.E.P. does not cover damage to tires or rims, nor cigarette burns or damage to the vehicle’s upholstery.

Insurance & Damage Responsibility

DAMAGE RESPONSIBILITY

The renter is responsible for the first US$1,500.00 – US$2,000.00 in respect of any loss or damage to the rental vehicle while it is in their custody.

The renter is also responsible for damage to any other vehicle if involved in an accident and found to be at fault, as well as tire punctures, tire damage, and fuel.

TYRES & RIMS (NOT COVERED BY CDW)

Damage to tyres and rims is not covered by the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

In the event of a flat tyre, repairs can be completed at local garages for a small fee. Raj Taxi & Rentals can also arrange flat tyre repairs at a cost of US$35.00.

If a tyre or rim is damaged beyond repair, the renter will be responsible for the full replacement cost.
Fuel Policy Vehicles are provided with fuel and must be returned with the same fuel level. The hirer is responsible for all fuel costs during the rental period. Failure to return the vehicle with the same fuel level may result in a refueling charge.
Driver Requirements • Drivers must be 25 years of age or older. • Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years. • A valid government-issued ID and driver’s license are required at pickup.
